Nuevo IBS LTD - Nuevo Products receive official approval from Romania

Hundreds of people constantly touch the same surfaces in various facilities, allowing viruses and bacteria to spread at lightning speed. Since it is not always possible to wash hands during the day, sanitisers have become a popular tool to fight germs. But it is important to understand that not all disinfectants are the same. To be approved a sanitizer must be efficient and safe to use.

There are different types of approval, depending on the international biocides database and additional local certification in each country. Authorities constantly update disinfectant standards to ensure ever-improving safety and efficacy, and products must keep up with the required standards to remain on the market.

In Romania, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and the National Veterinary Health and Food Safety Authority evaluate the risks and benefits of all products that want to enter the market to determine whether their active ingredients are safe and effective before they are approved. For this purpose, the product must undergo appropriate and well-controlled clinical investigations, which are then published in the freely available scientific literature. Based on the published investigations, experts decide if the product is safe and effective for its intended use.

Nuevo has already many times followed the described procedure to register its products in different European countries and now has finalized it in Romania as well.
